The purpose behind this blog is quite simple. I just want to use it as an opportunity to introduce everyone who will be walking beside me during this season at CGA and give each one of you a little glimpse of what a typical (if that exists) week looks like.
First I would like to introduce you to our CGA Class…..
These are both the apprentices as well as the teachers that I will be spending the most amount of time with during this season.
Our incredible CGA instructors who constantly stretch us to grow, encourage us, and love us well.
I would also like to introduce you to my mentor/ accountability partner during this season.
This is Don Rock, he currently serves in the short term missions department at AIM and has spent numerous years serving as a youth pastor. Don loves the Lord and I am looking forward to getting the opportunity to walk alongside him during this season.
As a part of our curriculum we are also required to take part in one of two tracks.
1. Church planting
2. Worship
I have chosen the church planting track, more on that in a bit.
Next, lets take a look at what the week might look like, although each week tends to look different.
One requirement to CGA is that we must hold a part time job. There are two primary reasons for this.
1. We need to make a living to survive and have food.
2. It allows us to take the information that we learn and directly apply it to our ordinary lives.
So the parts of the schedule that are left empty are times where we have the opportunity to work at our part time jobs. It is also an opportunity to do life with our fellow classmates and our mentors.
